FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Whether you're here to browse, buy, or just enjoy some art, I've gathered a few of the most common questions I get. If you're wondering about something that’s not listed here, don’t hesitate to reach out— I'm happy to chat!

Q: Do you accept commissions? How does that process work?
Yes, I love creating custom pieces! Whether you’re dreaming of a certain landscape, floral, or even a whimsical critter, we’ll start by discussing your vision and the desired size. From there, we’ll share reference images and ideas until we’re both on the same page. In some cases, I’ll send sketches or quick watercolor studies before diving into the final piece. A deposit is required to secure your spot, and while I don’t promise an exact timeline, most commissions are completed within 4 months.

Q: What kind of art do you create?
My work is rooted in realism with a playful twist—think majestic egrets, blooming wildflowers, vibrant cactus, and yes, even pigs in wine glasses! I use acrylics, watercolors, and inks to capture the beauty I see in nature and life. You’ll find a mix of Texas landscapes, whimsical animals, florals, and more in my portfolio.

Q: How can I purchase your work?
If a piece is listed as available, feel free to email me directly at mmbbergman@gmail.com or call 432-559-7767 to inquire. For commissions, we’ll start with a brief consultation to discuss your vision and then go from there!

Q: Do you ship artwork?
Yes, I absolutely offer shipping. While most of my sales have been local so far, I’m happy to work with you to find the best (and safest) way to get your painting delivered. Shipping costs will vary based on size, distance, and packaging needs.

Q: Do you accept returns?
Because each piece is original and handled with care, I typically don't offer returns. That said, I want my collectors to feel confident and excited about their purchase—so if something comes up, I’m open to discussing on a case-by-case basis.

Q: Where can I see your work in person?
I’ve had the joy of showing my work at Art on the Llano Estacado in Lubbock, TX, and at the Alto Lakes Arts Association in Alto, NM. Keep an eye on my News page for upcoming shows and exhibitions!

Q: How long have you been painting?
Art has been a part of my life in one form or another for decades. But it wasn’t until my mid-50s that I really embraced painting on canvas as my main creative focus. Since 2019, I’ve been selling and showing my work professionally.

Q: Are you formally trained?
Nope—I’m proudly self-taught! My only formal training was a general art class in high school. The rest has been years of experimenting, observing, and falling in love with the creative process.

Q: What inspires your work?
Nature is my greatest muse. Whether it’s the glow of a Texas sunset, a blooming poppy, or a curious bird in flight, I see art all around me. My goal is to capture those glimpses of beauty and joy—and share them with you.

Q: Can I follow you on social media?
Yes, please do! I love connecting with fellow art lovers and sharing sneak peeks of my latest work. You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok—links will be available throughout the site (or just search my name!).
